  • Dr Martin Cole of Aston University plans to make a gay version of his controversial sex education film for schools, Growing Up. CHE members Vivian Waldron and David Bell appeared on Thames Television’s Good Afternoon and said they would be happy if they weren’t gay. Seven policemen piled into London’s The Boltons gay pub to ‘have a look round’; a complaint of harassment was ignored. There’s a photospread from the Mr Fire Island contest on page 7. Reviews include reports from the Edinburgh Festival and Roger Casement by Brian Inglis.
