The paper clearly hoped that their survey on renting homes in the UK would reveal shocking discrimination. It didn’t, with most agencies unbothered and some positively delighted to have LGBT+ customers. The Spartan Club, a gay male venue, has closed, replaced by the mixed-sex gay club Vortex. Irish actor Wolfgang von Jurgen, born Michael St John – mentioned in the ‘special thanks’ in each issue – was found dead in the Thames. The cause of death has never been established. Reviews include Colette – The Difficulty of Loving by Margaret Crosland and Lost Horizon.
