- This is the first issue with professional national distribution, so the editorial welcomes what the paper hopes will be a flood of new readers. Gay News – via David Seligman in particular – has spawned a new off-shoot: Gay Switchboard. It’s still running to this day. Meanwhile, GLF is picketing the homophobic local rag Hendon Times (also still extant today). Reporter Tim Skinner has taken a sabbatical to tour Australia. For the rest of us, why not visit Brighton? And is what we do in bed an integral part of the LGB experience or just a facet of our lives? Roger Baker examines the issue. Reviews include Equus at the Old Vic and De Profundis and Other Writings by Oscar Wilde.
- CQ CQ gay radio hams and SWLs around 21 years of age within 160 or 80 meter radius of Richmond Surrey. How about meeting and starting a net. G8s also welcome. Phone number, callsign and photo please. Box 31/27 – personal ad, page 17. My kinda guy!
- Our OCR scanning software simply can’t cope with the front cover of this edition, resulting in the first page of the PDF being skewed and trimmed in odd places. Apologies.
