The paper leads with what reads to modern eyes as something of a BDSM wank fantasy. The police have been keeping files on schoolteachers they suspect of being LGBT+. Kensington police have been policing the borough’s morals, demanding that Oz and several other publications are kept out of sight; they were, however, unconcerned about Gay News for once, and also paid no attention to IT, which had a cock on its cover. The BBC banned the video that accompanies David Bowie’s John I’m Only Dancing, substituting it on Top of the Pops with footage of people riding motorcycles. Reviews include Bakke’s Night of Fame and Endless Night.

From a Rector’s notes in a Gloucestershire parish magazine: ‘Choirboys. They are all going on an outing, probably to London, on August 22nd.
